about rhe

Rheanna Zotto, also known as rhe, is a New York City based singer/songwriter and composer. Her debut EP "Post-Mortem Postcards" is a folk-pop record currently available on all streaming platforms. You can presently find her on stages across the five boroughs of NYC as a featured solo act, most notably headlining off-broadway concerts at the iconic Triad Theatre.

She is the 2024 Silver Award winner of the International Global Young Musicians Competition in the categories of both operatic vocal performance as well as musical theatre vocal performance. From 2017-2019, Rheanna performed professionally as a classically trained soprano in musical theater and operatic productions across the country and on stages abroad.


Music Therapy 


Rheanna is a practicing board-certified music therapist (MT-BC)  specializing in pediatric traumatic brain injury. She completed her Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) certification in May of 2024.

She received her master's degree in music therapy at Montclair State University's John J Cali School of Music in May of 2023 & completed her preprofessional internship at the Louis Armstrong Department of Music Therapy at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. There, she specialized in pediatrics and served as the Visiting Artist Series coordinator, while receiving advanced training hours through their Music & Health Clinic program and a certificate in RBL (Rhythm, Breath & Lullaby, Tier 1 & 2) . 


Music Education 


Rheanna is a certified Music Together® teacher through the Treble Time Music Studio. 

In the past, she has taught children ranging from pre-kindergarten to the 12th grade in both classroom and private lesson settings. 

She holds a bachelor's degree in music education with a Vocal Performance Concentration through Adelphi University's Honors College and graduated the same year she obtained her NYS teaching certification as a music educator (K-12). 

Her senior thesis was selected for poster presentation at the 2019 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Winter Conference in Rochester, NY.
